I'd like to welcome a new member to the family... Her name? Harmonium. She came all the way from India! She's beautiful. And lovely. And hard to play. I never learned the piano, and I really don't know how to play her either, but I shall learn! As of today, the family consists of the guitar, the ukelele, the melodica, the jingle stick, the xylophone, the egg shaker, the tambourine, the harmonica, the kazoo, the wood claves, the harmonium and me. It's a growing family :)
It was very well wrapped! As you can see from the mess... It was in a box in a box in a box (...) in another box. My friend Anna took pictures while I tried to open it as quickly as possible. Very excited! I have started playing it and everything but it is a little discouraging knowing I'm starting at the very bottom and I can't just learn any song on it that fast. It'll take time, it's not like the guitar (which I started playing when I was seven...). But, I will make sure to often remind myself that if Lisa Hannigan can do it, I can do it!
It comes with a book but I don't know how helpful it'll be yet. Do you know anything about harmoniums? Do you know how the different stops work? Any info is welcome :)
