I'm trying to be healthy. Maybe all the "dégustation de patisseries" posts are fooling you into thinking that I go all the time, but I don't. I was a terrible blogger in may, june & july. Most of those pastries, I actually ate in May and are only on the blog now because I finally got mad at myself and said "Lazy girl, start writing. NOW". I'm here, I'm here!
I'm being good. And part of being good means - to me - not giving into every single craving. Too much sugar just makes me unhappy. I know it now. Good, wholesome, healthy food makes me happy... which is all that matters. But since I might have a slight sugar addiction, I've tried to find healthy desserts. I had a variation of this fruit salad three nights in a row. So good I'm calling it the Best Fruit Salad.

BEST FRUIT SALAD
nectarineplum
apple
banana
cinnamon (or even pumpkin pie spices!)
vanilla extract
rolled oats
crushed pistachio
rice or almond milk
chia seeds
optional if you're vegan - bee pollen
optional - chocolate or cocoa nibs
First take some rolled oats and sprinkle onto the plate – just a tiny bit! For the look and the texture. Cut up a nectarine all pretty and nice and place in a circle. If you want. That won't actually change the taste at all in the end. In a separate bowl, cut up a plum and an apple into very small little pieces and toss with a teaspoon of cinnamon, a drizzle of almond or rice milk and a few drops of vanilla extract. Place in the middle of the plate. I added 1/3 of a banana and sprinkled it over the other fruit. Then I crushed some pistachios and sprinkled that over everything as well as a teaspoon of chia seeds and some bee pollen. The pistachios are an absolute must in my opinion. It's delicious! At the end, I wanted to make it even more of a treat and I added a tiiiiiny bit of chocolate. It was good but next time I won't, just to keep it even healthier.
